THE YEARBOOK

The Yearbook began with a simple thought: We wanted to bring back the feeling of school days and show it in a way that feels true today. More than thirty models stepped into school uniforms and into their own stories. Every portrait reflects a different personality shaped by memories, habits and the small things that make someone who they are. We photographed everything at Camps Bay High School which gave the project the atmosphere we had imagined.

Each student also appears in a set of short video stories. They answer a few personal questions that open the door to honest moments.

Who were you in high school?
What would you tell your younger self today?

Nothing is planned. The answers are natural. Sometimes funny. Sometimes thoughtful. Always real.

There is a quiet idea throughout the whole project. In life you meet yourself many times. Each time you have changed a little. Each time shaped by new experiences. The Yearbook holds on to that feeling. It becomes a small time capsule for the person you were and the person you have grown into.
